Emily Holmes is a Partner with Donald Hyun Kiolbassa who concentrates her practice in the handling of real estate transactions, estate planning, arbitration and alternative dispute resolution, and real estate litigation.
Prior to joining Donald Hyun Kiolbassa's firm, Emily gained valuable experience litigating complex insurance coverage matters with Clausen Miller PC. Emily spent 10 years evaluating environmental liability claims, analyzing property damage claims, issuing insurance coverage opinions and reservation of rights letters. Additionally, prior to becoming a lawyer, Emily was a consultant at Accenture advising clients in the insurance, financial services and information technology industries.
Emily Holmes is a January 2007 graduate of The John Marshall Law School. While in law school, Emily served as Staff Editor for The Journal of Computer and Information and Privacy Law.
Prior to her employment with Accenture, Emily earned her undergraduate degree at The University of Iowa where she studied Mathematics, Statistics and Actuarial Science (graduating with honors), International Women’s Studies, and Spanish.
Emily's passion is music. Emily is classically trained in piano and performed in a Master Class at The University of Iowa. Emily moonlights as a digital audio workstation music producer.
